Why “Decorative Arts”?

The term decorative arts encompasses all of my passions! Interior design, decoration, art work in myriad forms…all are included in the definition,  referencing that which is both beautiful and functional.

The primary focus of my business is interior design, with an emphasis on new construction. In my creative design work, I apply all of the basic elements of art: line, shape, space, value, form, texture and color.

To my way of thinking, art is not separate from life, but an integral part of how we experience it and what we choose to have around us.

What a thrill it is to go from architectural plans to full-blown reality! When the sheer number of decisions feels overwhelming, I am uniquely suited to help clients navigate the process. Understanding and enjoying the journey makes the outcome so much more satisfying.
I really listen to my clients, and as
a result, the home closely reflects their needs and desires. I fully understand who will inhabit the space when we are complete!
